Lighting
- Residence & Landscape – Though we are not a designated Dark Sky community, lighting ideas may be found here. In general, residents should plan outdoor lighting with consideration for the comfort of their neighbors and local wildlife.
- Streets – The Lighting Task Force of the ODEAB has been working with NIPSCO to monitor the replacement of street lights from High-Pressure Sodium bulbs to more efficient 3000K LEDs. While some details are still unclear, we urge residents to report any unpleasant glare.

Water Quality
With a grant from IDEM, beach water quality in Ogden Dunes is monitored daily from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. The nearly one-mile stretch of beach is divided into East & West sectors that are monitored separately for E. coli bacteria.
