Budget & Finance Committee

Mission

The Budget & Finance Committee is an advisory committee with no discretionary power.  They meet to support the Town Council and Clerk-Treasurer and help ensure that communications between the two are open and clear. 

At each meeting, they review a standard list of topics.  There is no set agenda.  On occasion, they will do research for the Clerk or the Council regarding fiscal and budgetary issues.   

At budget time, they assist with compiling and assessing department budgets, provide input on changes, and help the Clerk and the Council adhere to County and State reporting and approval guidelines.

The BFC takes no official action regarding any issue.
