NIPSCO Pole Replacement

Hello everyone, 

Want to make all residents aware that NIPSCO indicated they will be replacing old or damaged poles in town.  Please see attached location map.  You will also notice The Townsend company in town trimming trees away from the power lines.  This will go on for a couple of weeks. This is a great thing for our town, most of our outages are due to trees or branches falling on power lines. 

NICTD construction has moved into the westbound turn lane coming into town. Eventually, the entire turn lane will be closed.  I spoke with the manager of Pre-Coat Metals today; I expressed my concern regarding ongoing semi-traffic. There is an issue with their address, it routes drivers to the entrance of the Town of Ogden Dunes. Pre-Coat is sending out instructions to all incoming deliveries and pickups, we hope this will help.
