Dear Friends, Neighbors, and Ogden Dunes Residents,

As we begin 2026, we are reminded of the Lions’ simple but powerful motto: We Serve. It is a call to action—and a reflection of the heart of our community.

We would like to remind you of two important upcoming Lions Club efforts, both rooted in service and caring for those around us.

1. January Community Food Drive – Together Against Hunger

Thanks to the generosity of our neighbors, we have already raised nearly $1,000 in cash contributions before the event even begins—a remarkable show of compassion and community spirit.

As the holidays end and winter deepens, food banks feel the strain most acutely. Cold weather and empty shelves make this a critical moment to help families in need across Ogden Dunes, Portage, and our surrounding community.

10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Ogden Dunes Community Center

We invite you to keep that spirit of giving going:

• Drop off non-perishable food items (canned goods, soups, rice, pasta, cereals, peanut butter)
• Or donate by check payable to Ogden Dunes Lions Club (please note “Food Drive”)

Every can, every check, every act of kindness truly matters. Together, we can ensure fewer in our community face hunger this winter.

2. Save the Date: Lions Charity Dinner – Supporting the Boys & Girls Club

Looking ahead, we are excited to share that the Ogden Dunes Lions Club will host a dinner benefiting the Boys & Girls Club, open to all members of the community.
