Pat Maxwell

Dear Ogden Dunes neighbors,

After a long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer, Patricia “Pat” Maxwell passed away peacefully last Thursday, surrounded by her husband, Ed, and her children.

On behalf of our entire family, thank you for the calls, cards, visits, meals, delicious goodies, and countless messages of love and support. We have felt deeply cared for, and it has meant more to us than words can adequately express.

We wanted to share a few details about the arrangements with the community.

A celebration of Pat’s life will be held on January 24, 2026, at Old St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Chicago. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am, followed by the funeral mass at 12:00 pm. All are warmly invited to join us for a luncheon immediately following the service at The University Club of Chicago.

For those who wish to honor Pat’s memory, contributions may be made to the Patricia Maxwell Endowed Fund at the University of Chicago, which supports Dr. Ernst Lengyel’s ovarian cancer research lab. Donation details are available in the obituary or can be made directly by clicking HERE.

Our parents have loved living in Ogden Dunes, and the people here are what make it so special. The love and care you have shown our family reflect the kindness of this community, and we know our mom would be deeply moved by it.

We continue to miss our mom every day and are so grateful for the support the Ogden Dunes community has shown our family.
