The Best Day at the Ogden Dunes Beach is a SAFE Day at the Ogden Dunes Beach!

Have a designated "WATER WATCHER" supervising children in the water, keeping children in sight at all times; and agreering to keep watch until another adult replaces them as the "WATER WATCHER". The Ogden Dunes Fire Department has FREE "WATER WATCHER" lanyards available in-front of the Firehouse, please take one!
- Know before you go! Check our shoreline weather and lake forecast.

- Use life jackets/PFDs.
- Know where you are on the beach e.g. Shore Drive address and/or Access #.
- Know if your cellphone has a signal, network connectivity, and works on the beach.
- Know where the nearest water rescue station is located.
- If help is needed call 9-1-1 and summon assistance.
