The Town of Ogden Dunes (though the Ogden Dunes Police Department) uses NIXLE as the Ogden Dunes community alerting platform to share immediate information that may be of interest to residents, home-owners, and visitors.

NIXLE enables Ogden Dunes to communicate in a secure way and share multimedia content over a trusted mobile platform. NIXLE supports secure enterprise grade communications for both public and private messaging.

Please sign up for NIXLE at https://local.nixle.com/register in order to receive information that may impact our community (e.g. road closures, railroad crossing blockages, water main breaks, public safety operations, etc.).

Do I have to register to use Nixle?

Anyone can view information by going to www.nixle.com without registering. However, to customize the information you receive and the locations you receive it from, in addition to receiving information by text message and/or email you must set up an account. Once registered you can personalize your locations and your preferences, making the service fit your needs.
